Welcome to Brief Acceptance! This is very early days for our site, so we are still adding content, rearranging the furniture and squashing bugs.
Over time, we will be drawing together all of the most useful ideas, theories and techniques from the various Brief Acceptance Therapies that are out there.
On the one hand, we will be looking at established counselling models like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialetical Behaviour Therapy and other mindfulness-based approaches.
And, on the other hand, we will discuss some of the more useful techniques and ideas promoted by various self-help and personal development systems, such as The Work and The Option Method.
We are excited about the sharing the power of acceptance as widely as we can. After all, as Carl Jung said, “We cannot change anything unless we accept it.”
